“Learn Russian, teach in English” – a new project for teachers and college students abroad
The Association of Higher Educational Institutions and the Russian Language (ASSUL) took over the large project “We Learn the Russian Language, We Learn in English”, which was carried out with the support of the Ministry of Education of Russia. 50 additional education programs have been developed, organized online vocational training courses in English for college teachers and technicians who receive secondary vocational education in the CIS countries, primarily in the CIS countries.
The task was an expectation, since different countries have educational standards, and the experience of preparing additional educational programs for such a diverse exhibition was the first for ASSUL. The Association took the path of offering the widest repertoire of programs, focusing primarily on programs related to the Russian language, methods of teaching it at various stages of its study. Along with this, a block of programs was proposed that are used with the advice and culture of Russia, methods for studying the disciplines of the physical, mathematical and natural science blocks, as well as a block of aesthetic disciplines, health-saving learning technologies. The authors of the project for the implementation of SPO programs, the organization of design and research activities and the education of the younger generation.
The implementation of the project showed the justification for using this opportunity for listeners to extract their software package, since the laboriousness of one program did not exceed 16 hours. All programs were developed in close cooperation with partners, primarily ANO DPO “Russian Word”, Russian State Pedagogical University named after. A. I. Herzen, colleges of the Moscow region and other organizations. Teachers at steel courses in Moscow represent universities, St. Petersburg, authors of textbooks and author’s methods. Project Manager, Professor of the UNESCO Department of the Russian State Pedagogical University. A. I. Herzen L. V. Dudova. We were pleased that among almost 3 thousand students there were not only teachers from foreign countries, but also teachers from Russia, foreign citizens working in Russia, who expressed a desire to improve their knowledge of the English language.
In general, all quantitative indicators of the project were exceeded, more than 3 thousand people from 60 countries of the world became students of courses that are accumulated online, representatives of Uzbekistan and other CIS countries were especially active. This can serve as another argument in favor of the demand for Russian education at the level of one secondary vocational education. And although, under the terms of the agreement, we had to close the programs on January 15, given the high demand for them, ASSUL, together with its partners, decided to continue training in January.
