Covid San Marino: 1083 new cases registered in the last week
The Institute for Social Security communicates the update of COVID-19 infections and the progress of the vaccination campaign, in San Marino, recorded in the last week from 10 as of January 16, 2022.
In the last week, 4,856 swabs were performed, compared to 1,083 new cases (positivity rate on a weekly basis at 22.30%), 884 recoveries and 13 hospitalizations (of which 4 in ICU).
In the same period of 2021 (of which 11 to 17 January 2021) compared to 121 new cases detected, 21 were hospitalized (of which 10 in Intensive Care).
The total number of people infected since the beginning of the pandemic until midnight yesterday is 10,639 of which: 1,641 active positives (average age 37 years, 830 females and 811 males), 103 deaths and 8,895 recoveries.
There are 14 people admitted to the hospital, of which 5 in Intensive Care and 9 in isolation rooms, while 1,627 people are followed at home. There are also 353 people in quarantine.
339 people are currently re-infected with SARS-CoV-2, after having already recovered from Covid-19 disease during the previous pandemic waves. Of these, 158 are already healed, while the rest are currently positive.
AntiCOVID vaccination campaign
The total number of vaccinations registered in San Marino since the beginning of the Campaign is 62,869 of which 23,755 people vaccinated with the first dose and 25,687 with the second dose or with the single dose. 51.4% of the vaccinated are female and 48.6% are male.
84.85% of the resident vaccinable population completed the immunization cycle.
13,427 people received the booster dose, equal to 47.67% of the resident population that can be vaccinated.
