A Bordelais was arrested by the police in the act of selling cocaine. Over the past two years, he is said to have made a profit of around 80,000 euros from his activity.
The information reached the ears of the police officers of the narcotics group of the Unit for the fight against the underground economy of the Departmental Security was good. After several weeks of investigations and discreet surveillance carried out as part of a preliminary investigation, the “narcotics” police arrested Wednesday, January 12, at the end of the day, a cocaine dealer who sprayed a rather upscale clientele in the center- City of Bordeaux.
Caught in the act, the dealer, aged 42, was selling drugs to a business manager whom he welcomed inside his car parked in an alley, near the Place des Martyrs-de-la- Resistance. The police searched the car and discovered about thirty grams of cocaine packaged in several pouches.
The dealer and the customer were taken to the central police station where they were taken into custody. If the second was quickly released after admitting to buying cocaine for about a year, the dealer, on the other hand, spent 48 hours on the premises of the group in charge of the fight against narcotics.
1.2 kg of cocaine seized
The investigators discovered a search of his home and discovered a hundred grams of coke packaged for sale as well as a few grams of cannabis resin and ecstasy tablets. Press materials, clothing and luxury watches were seized from the apartment.
The police also found the place where the dealer was hiding the drugs: in a heavy-duty car parked in the parking lot of a residence near Mériadeck. Inside the car there were nearly 900 grams of cocaine and more than 25,000 euros in small bills.
A dozen customers were interviewed and confirmed that they regularly obtain supplies from this dealer, which had until then passed under the radar of the police. During his hearing, he acknowledged the facts but said nothing about the origin of the product. For two years, he would have made a turnover of 280,000 euros, for a net profit from his activity of around 80,000 euros.
Besides the luxury clothes worth 4,000 euros and the watches estimated at 30,000 euros, the police also recovered three cars.
A total of 1.2 kg of cocaine was placed under judicial seal. The dealer, brought this Saturday, January 15 before a magistrate, should be compared Monday, January 17 before the criminal court as part of an immediate comparison procedure.
