Travel to Norway to take street photos – has two million TikTok followers – NRK Kultur og underholdning
Dino Serrao is a street photographer and travels the world to hunt for the most beautiful he knows. Namely everyday face.
For the past year he has lived in Norway to hunt for new faces. Before that he lived in Australia.
– When I lived in Australia, I decided to start a project that would involve traveling the world. The first country on the list was Norway, he says.
Serrao is a guest on Friday’s broadcast Lindmo. There he tells why he chose Norway out of all the countries in the world:
– Ever since I was young, I have wanted to see the northern lights, and I have always wanted to experience a white Christmas with a lot of snow, he explains and laughs.
Millions of followers on TikTok
It has proven to be a smart choice. His pictures of Norwegians captured in everyday moments have given him over to millions of followers TikTok, and hundreds of thousands of followers Instagram.
His goal for the photo project is to show the world that ordinary people are not only beautiful, but also “powerful”.
– We tend to forget how beautiful we are. It does not matter what skin color we have, or whether we are tall or short.
– I’m looking for beautiful stories. Each and every one of us in this world will feel and be put off by someone, so let’s try to get it and capture it on camera, he says.
– Let me capture the moment
His method is to walk the streets and look at ordinary people who are in the middle of their ordinary everyday life. He often sees those who stand out a little in the crowd.
– It is a very intuitive method where I let myself be captured by the moment and a mood that can arise in a nanosecond.
– Then it’s about getting hold of this person right away, he says to Lindmo and laughs.
