Toulouse. Spacer’s: the accounts are in the red!
Several figures confirm the enormous difficulties encountered by Toulouse residents for two months.
The proof by five before their trip to Nice this evening.
THREE… This is the number of points taken by Toulouse on the twenty-seven put into play for more than two months. Eight defeats for a single victory in the last nine games played. Since last December 11, and the success at home against Montpellier (3-0), the Spacer’s have not taken a single point, losing three consecutive times on the score of 3 sets to 1.
FOUR… This is the number of victories that Toulouse have counted after fifteen days. Only Cannes and Poitiers did worse with just three wins. Narbonne, which leads the championship with one game more than most of the other teams, has won for its share of just three losses.
FIVE… This is the number of setbacks outside the men of Stéphane Sapinart who have not won further from the Palais des sports since December 6 and the victory on the floor of Plessis-Robinson (3-1). Since ? Four losses in a row and zero points out of twelve.
SIX… That is the number of points behind Gijs Jorna’s teammates on the eighth and last virtual qualified for the play-offs. And guess who it is? Pleasant. No need to draw a picture: if the Toulousains do not take points on the Côte d’Azur, their dream of Top 8 would (already) take a big hit in the wing. “Yes, it’s a very important match,” agreed Stéphane Sapinart at the end of the match against Sète, lost last weekend at home (1-3).
TWELVE… The numbers don’t lie it seems? In any case, they largely explain the sad twelfth place of Toulouse (out of fourteen) who have never been so poorly classified since the start of the season. Another worrying sign, the thirteenth, Poitiers, has never been so close with only three points behind the Spacer’s.
