Martial will leave Manchester United … but Monaco and OL can already forget him
In search of a new club, Anthony Martial should not return to Ligue 1 because of the huge demands of Manchester United.
Lacking playing time since the arrivals of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial has asked to leave Manchester United this winter. The French would have even received a first loan offer from Sevilla FC, but the Red Devils have vetoed. Based on information from Utdreport, the current 7th in the Premier League will agree to the player’s loan if and only if two conditions are met: the buying club will have to pay the entire 6 million euros annual salary of the former Monegasque as well as a transfer fee of approximately € 7 million.
Enough to disgust a good number of suitors, who would have liked to be able to count on Anthony Martial in the second part of the season. This is particularly the case of Olympique de Marseille, Olympique Lyonnais and AS Monaco, three clubs which will never have the means to complete the transfer of the French international this winter. At this price, only a Premier League club could revive the 26-year-old striker’s career.
