The Toulouse Stadium lawn did not suffer from flooding
The League 2 match between TFC and Pau on Saturday should be played in perfect conditions. The lawn was not flooded.
More fear than harm ! Located in a flood zone on the Ile du Ramier and therefore in the front row when the Garonne has its back, the Toulouse Stadium has escaped the worst. If the meeting between the TFC and Nancy, scheduled for Monday evening, at the height of the flood, was reported, the enclosure was relatively untouched by bad weather. The large puddles of water that formed all around the field, at the foot of the stands, were not the result of the flood itself, but of overflows of rainwater which fell for more than 24 hours without discontinuator. The lawn was therefore watered, but was not damaged by the torrents of water and mud which devastated everything around on the island of Ramier.
Two flooded technical rooms
Only two technical rooms located on the ground floor of the Stadium were flooded. Parts that house computer systems managing security and also banners, these digital advertising panels carry all around the field. The technical services of the municipality had to work to clean the place. After checking everything, they could see that all the systems were working. Saturday’s championship match against Pau will therefore take place in optimal conditions behind the scenes and on the pitch which should be rocking. What to favor the game of Toulouse which will avoid the disappointment of last year … a draw (2-2) which had condemned them practically to the roadblocks of accession, finally lost. This time, they are warned!
