A “bad” director-tyrant on the stage of KTHBE
The play premieres tomorrow at the Small Theater of Lazariston Monastery and tries to “illuminate” the invisible side of a social phenomenon
The issue of gender-based violence and the effort to alienate and its new production is affected State Theater of Northern Greece “Mr. Kakos’s nightmare” by Grigoris Mitas, who signs and directs.
The play that premieres tomorrow (January 14, 2022) at the Small Theater of Lazariston Monastery, attempts to “illuminate” the invisible side of a social phenomenon that has taken on uncontrollable dimensions.
The play takes place during an audition by Maki Kako, an influential, snobbish, perverted tyrant who deceives and abuses with Art. The story unfolds in six scenes, in the “headquarters-studio” of the director Mr. Kakou – a peculiar “prison” creation of his sick psyche.
“It’s a modern story of sexual abuse, painfully topical that we all need to have the courage to admit. The work began as an inner need to seek the truth we owe to abused individuals. “I hope that this is not a reason for a discussion about an equal coexistence”, says Grigoris Mitas, who has edited the costumes and the music, among other things.
Cast: Giannis Harisis (Maki Kakos), Korina Athanasoula (actress), Eleftheria Tetoula (Maria), Christina Magaki (Valia). At the beginning of the show, the actors are heard in a series of appearances: Natassa Daliaka, Klio Danai Othoneou, Marianna Avramaki, Marianna Pourega.
The show is suitable for people over 16 years old. The KTHBE tents function as covid free spaces for spectators who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or have become ill.
