Toulouse: who is the new director of the CHU, Jean-François Lefebvre?
Jean-François Lefebvre has been appointed director of Toulouse hospitals. He succeeds Marc Penaud.
Jean-François Lefebvre has just been appointed head of Toulouse hospitals. He comes from the CHU de Limoges and replaces Marc Penaud, left at the end of last year.
Laureate of the Bordeaux law faculty, former student of the National School of Public Health, Hospital Director, Jean-François Lefebvre began his hospital career at the Nîmes University Hospital, first as director of financial affairs, then director of evaluation, finance and information system and director of research. He receives the 1uh Hospital Innovation Prize with the Maternet telemedicine project.
In 2000, he joined the CHU de Nice, where he served as Director of Strategy and Works for 7 years. In particular, he coordinates the restructuring of the Nice University Hospital and the implementation of university hospital projects and partnerships with the Lacassagne cancer center.
In the summer of 2007, Jean-François Lefebvre was appointed director of the Cannes hospital center, where he notably led the operation of the new hospital, inaugurated in 2011.
Since the end of December 2015, Mr. Jean-François Lefebvre was General Manager of the Limoges University Hospital before being appointed, by decree on January 7, 2022, General Manager of the Toulouse University Hospital.
