Post-war Warsaw in old photos after reconstruction. A unique exhibition for the inhabitants of the city
This Saturday, January 15 at 12, in the gallery of galleries leading to the Old Town, you will be able to see photos of post-war Warsaw. Details of the unique exhibition can be found in the text below.
Pictures taken by the legendary photographer Zbyszko Siemaszko, presented for the first time in color. Red buses, colorful facades of tenement houses in the Old Town Square or the bright facade of the Palace of Culture and Science are an image of Warsaw captured by Siemaszko, which you will be able to see as the photographer himself saw it. The exhibition can be viewed at the lower and local store.
The photos were taken for the purposes of the exhibition and were established in the National Digital Archives in the form: “Photographs in the national language of the Digital Archives”. Remastering to 4K plus coloring and retouching by Bogdan Markowicz.
The organizer of the exhibitions is the Warsaw Branch of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society, the co-organizer of the XBW Foundation for them. Ignacy Krasicki. The partners of the event are AM ART-MEDIA PR Agency and the National Digital Archives.
The edition is co-financed from the budget of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship.
