It came in the Czech Republic on Monday 7336 new cases of coronavirus infection. Compared to last Monday, it is about 2,000 less, but about 500 more than on Monday a fortnight. The seven-day incidence, ie the number of infected per 100,000 inhabitants, was on Monday 420 infected per 100 thousand inhabitants. This follows from the data provided on the website Ministry of Health.
On Monday, the labs performed around 93 thousand tests, almost 30 thousand were antigenic and about 63 thousand PCR. These tests revealed an increase of 7336 infected people. According to the latest figures, there are approximately 69,000 confirmed cases in the Czech Republic. There were 401 cases in the risk group of people over 65 years of age.

The most affected area is Central Bohemia together with Prague. There are approximately 466 infected people per 100,000 inhabitants. The second largest number of infected is in the Zlín region. On the contrary, the Vysočina region is doing best, where there are only 287 infected per 100,000 inhabitants and have been few infected for a long time in the Karlovy Vary region.
According to the SZÚ, the omicron variant prevailed in the Czech Republic on Saturday. On Sunday, laboratory tests proved it in 79% of all cases infected. 6.7 million people are already fully vaccinated in the Czech Republic. Almost 6,000 people ended the vaccination yesterday. 666 people have reached the third strengthening.
