The most popular names in Toulouse in 2021, a year for boys
Between January 1 and December 31, 2021, these are 13,099 babies which were born in the pink city. This is a little more than in 2020 when 13,047 children had arrived, an equivalent figure in 2019.
Boys represent 52% of births with just over 6,800 little Toulouse girls, against nearly 6,300 little Toulouse girls. And among the first names, a classic in the top 10 for men, a little more fantasy in the top 10 for women.
Louis, Gabriel, Léo, Raphaël and their friends, always the same
Among boys, the ten most popular first names in Toulouse are absolute classicism. After a Gabriel / Jules / Léo trio in 2020, it’s Louis which returns in force in 2021, followed by the usual Gabriel and Leo.
Always well placed in this very select top, you will always have one in your nursery: Raphael, Arthur and Adam. Jules lost five places but remained in the top 10. Noah, Lucas, Hugo close the classification of the ten and are still as numerous in the nurseries.
In the end, no originality among the parents of boys, the ten names of Toulouse the most given in 2021 are, out of order, the same as in 2020. With one exception, Maël leaves the ranking, in favor of Noah who go back up.
In 2019, Leon, Mohamed and Paul were in the top 10, places they lost in 2020 and still not found in 2021.
The queens Louise, Alice and Jade, the madness of Camilles and Alba
Fathers and mothers of little girls showed a little more inspiration. The winning trio this year is the unbeatable one Louise, before Alice which is experiencing good progress and Jade which was already in the top 3 in 2020.
Behind Camille, a name less popular in recent years and absent from the top 20 in 2020, is making a resounding comeback at the foot of the podium. Finally a little originality, the thunderous arrival of the charming Alba, still unknown in the battalion of the preferred first names of Toulouse.
With a good chance of finding a namesake in their classes, Lina and Anne confirm their installation in the top 10, whileAmber who had made a great breakthrough in 14th place in 2020, conquers more Toulouse parents every year, she is 8th in 2021.
Emma, bronze medalist in 2020, tumbles to ninth place. Julia moves back three rows but hangs on in 10th.
Chloé, Mila and Léa lose their place in this prestigious top 10. The Roses, much loved in 2019, no longer appear in this limited ranking.
