“Here Selvaggia ate well, it’s a pity she didn’t write it down”
I read yesterday on the “Gazzettino”The article concerning the Venetian“ misadventure ”of the end of the year, journalist of the Selvaggia Lucarelli.
I would therefore like to inform you and your readers that Mrs. Lucarelli was for lunch in my restaurant on Sunday 2 January with her companion. Green Pass and as soon as they sat down they immediately complimented the environment and the furnishings of the room. They chose two appetizers from our menu: smoked amberjack with raw canoce, edamame, dashi broth and our tandem of cod, that is, creamed inside a steamed bun with oriental cabbage and cod tripe with bean cream and radicchio di Treviso).
They then continued with two first courses: Plin stuffed with braised tail with truffle and ramen and our Paccheri with scampi, cotechino, lentil mousse and chicory. They concluded with our dessert. The gentlemen preferred to drink by the glass, complimenting the complexity and richness of the wine list. On leaving they said they were happy and satisfied, both for the level of the lunch, exceeding expectations, and for the professionalism.
Unfortunately there is no trace of this pleasant experience while only the negative episodes are underlined. As often happens, unfortunately, when it comes to Venice. I do not want to add controversy to controversy, on the contrary, I thank our guests for the appreciation of our work, but only to emphasize that Mrs. Lucarelli was probably particularly unfortunate because in Venice there are also (and there are not a few, I assure you) locals. where hospitality, quality, well-being and respect for the rules are the norm.
