To steal from a hypermarket near Toulouse, thieves had a foolproof method
Three men were arrested on Monday at the Leclerc Blagnac shopping center. They are suspected of having committed several thefts.
The method is very well put together. Equipped with a double-bottomed shopping bag, the walls of which are lined with aluminum, the thieves have reproduced the principle of the Faraday cage. One way to protect yourself from electromagnetic interference. Useful when you plan to steal from a store without being detected by the security gates …
This Monday around, three men of 18, 27 and 31, marked the attention of the vigilantes of the Leclerc shopping center in Blagnac. The trio, hidden in the back of a building, appeared to be exchanging clothes. As they approached, security officers noticed that these habits all included anti-theft devices. The police arrived as reinforcements to apprehend the three individuals. In their specially fitted bags, the thieves carried a whole set of designer clothes stolen from several shops in the shopping arcade. Among the items, sweaters, shoes but also socks and boxer shorts. The damage would greatly exceed hundreds of euros.
Did they want to resell them or profit from them? Are they used to the fact? To answer these interrogations, these three suspects were taken into custody.
