The night between 5th and 6th January is famous for the arrival of the hag, the old woman who, just like Santa Claus does a few days before her, enters the homes of the boys and girls to leave them sweets and some gifts or punish them with coal. However, January 6 is also the day on which, according to the Christian-Catholic tradition, the Magi came from the baby Jesus with their gifts: gold, brought by Melchior, the eldest of the three; incense, brought by the youngest, Gaspar and, finally, myrrh, given by Baldassarre. So why not witness their entrance in front of the most famous nativity scene in the world?
In St. Peter’s Square, in fact, until 9 January the crib is set up, which from 8 December stands out in the shadow of the large fir that arrived, like every other, from Trentino. In the days between 2021 and 2022, however, you can also view the exhibition of nativity scenes from around the world hosted under the Bernini colonnade. Here the nativity scenes on display are beyond the planet, specifically 126, all from the most disparate countries of the planet including Hungary, Kazakhstan, Peru, Indonesia, Uruguay, Colombia, United States and Taiwan: in front of these works of art, young and old remain open-mouthed, especially in front of the one made sculpting chocolate or inside an old Atac bus. Christmas World at the Parco della Musica Auditorium

Every day, participating in events and visiting the Christmas World is possible with the division into time bands of entry and the quota number of people: on Thursday 6 January the village has a maximum number of 3000 people in total, the opening of the Village is at 9 and closing at 21, while the opening times are at 9, at 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 6.30pm. For the Christmas in the Museums review, an initiative that has kept young and old company company with its walks, workshops, guided tours and activities starting from 23 December and ending on 9 January, the Civic Museum of Zoology in via Ulisse Aldovrandi has organized a new workshop just for the day of the Epiphany. The result of little visitors and little visitors is to decorate and adorn their Befana sock looking for clues and objects during a trip to the museum’s exhibition rooms, trying to draw as many original ideas as possible to make their sock creative.
