UKRAINE

Since the beginning of 2022, Gazprom has reduced gas transit through Ukraine to Slovakia three times

Sugar Mizzy January 3, 2022

At the beginning of 2022, the pumping of Russian gas through Ukraine in the direction of Slovakia fell three times, according to the Slovak gas transmission operator Eustream.

So, if on December 31, 2021 the corresponding application was 83.8 million cubic meters. m, on January 1, 2022 it fell to 49.5 million cubic meters. m, on January 2 – up to 35.5 million cubic meters. m, and on January 3 – up to 26.1 million cubic meters. m.

In total, in 2021, the average daily pumping through the Velke Kapushany point was 76.6 million cubic meters. m.

in connection with the operational data of the “GTS Operator of Ukraine”, the flow of gas through the gas metering station (GVS) “Sudzha” and GVS “Sohoronka” on the Russian-Ukrainian border on December 31, 2021 amounted to 103.5 million cubic meters. m, January 1, 2022 – 76 million cubic meters. m, January 2 – 61.3 million cubic meters. m with paid by “Gazprom” 110 million cubic meters. m / day.

Moreover, the head of OGTSU Serhiy Makogon on his Facebook page on Monday that the total amount of transit natural gas in Ukraine’s GTS in 2021 amounted to 41.7 billion cubic meters. m with a total reserved capacity of 44.4 billion cubic meters. m for entry points from Russia and 45.8 billion cubic meters. m for exit points to the EU and Moldova. That is, in 2021 Gazprom used the reserved capacity of the Ukrainian GTS at entry points by 93.8%, at exit points – by 91%.

As it turned out, in 19,211 smaller volumes of improvements on the Ukrainian-Slovak gas transport corridor were at the end of February (24-33 million cubic meters) against the background of record cancellation in Europe in parallel with severe frosts in Siberia, the Urals and Volga region.

In 2020, there will be less daily gas volumes through Ukraine in the direction of Slovakia Gazprom pumped in early January (in particular, January 2 – 6.7 million cubic meters), when trade flows ahead of the old transit contract and difficult negotiations for approval new ones were set up for the worst case scenario with transit violations.

The transit of natural gas through the GTS of Ukraine in 2020 amounted to 55.8 billion cubic meters. m, which is 37.7% less than in 2019 (89.6 billion cubic meters). The average daily volume of transit for the year is 153 million cubic meters. m with a reserved UAH 178 million. cube. m.

In the Ukrainian gas transportation corridor in 2021-2024 there is a mandatory “armor” for “Gazprom” – 40 billion cubic meters. m (110 million cubic meters per day) after 65 billion cubic meters. m (178 million cubic meters per day) in 2020.
