car fire in the basement, the services of the Department evacuated
Significant emergency resources were deployed on Monday January 3 at the foot of the building housing the services of the Department of Haute-Savoie, avenue du Parmelan in Annecy.
It was around 8:45 a.m. when an officer’s personal car arriving at work, for some reason, caught fire in the building’s underground parking lot. Thanks to the responsiveness of the building guardian, the fire was quickly contained, by means of three emptied extinguishers, before the arrival of emergency services to definitively contain the incident.

The significant release of smoke, quickly encumbering the underground, required the precautionary evacuation of the maximum number of agents from the department present in the building, leaving for a rough early morning in the street.
After the ventilation of the underground, the reinstatement of the premises was validated around 10 am by the commander of the firefighters’ rescue operations who lifted the device.
