Warmińsko-Mazurskie: The lake and ice disappear, the country roads are drowning in mud
Rapid warming and rain for several days has been melting the ice covering the Masurian lake. The ice is so brittle that it breaks even under the hovercraft of Masurian rescuers. Rural gravel streets are drowning in mud – firefighters pulled five ambulances out of them.
– The ice is still there, but until its last moments – said Tomasz Kurowicki, MOPR on duty on Sunday morning.
Masurian devices have been in use for weeks ago, the excess of ice has reached 8 cm in some places. However, the very rapid warming of the last few days and the almost technical rainfall indicate that the ice is becoming more and more brittle. – When we flew a hovercraft yesterday, there was already a water trail behind it. The ice is so brittle that it collapsed even under a standing hovercraft – added Kurowicki.
A strong practical and reliable insole is ensured that it is equal, that it is equal to a great big gravel road. Many of them are drowning in mud. In the past day, firefighters from helping five ambulances that got stuck in the mud so badly that their regions are not in the same position to pull down.
It is expected to rain briefly on Sunday in Warmia and Mazury, and it is to be similar on Monday and Tuesday.
