The mayor of Toulouse, Jean-Luc Moudenc, presents his wishes to the inhabitants of the metropolis and outlines the priorities for 2022.
On the occasion of the New Year, Jean-Luc Moudenc, Mayor of Toulouse, sends his best wishes to Toulouse residents and the inhabitants of the Metropolis: “If the health crisis, unfortunately, is not over, as evidenced by the measures implemented. recently in place by the government and which require us to be cautious, however, I recognize that we can look at 2022 with some reasons for hope, writes the president of Toulouse Métropole. First, because 2021 was marked by economic recovery and job creation. And then because the vast majority of you have adopted responsible behavior by getting vaccinated. To protect the people of Toulouse, we have organized, you will remember, a vaccinodrome, the most important in France, which we recently reopened to allow you to benefit from the third dose ”.
“In 2022, municipal action and that of the metropolis will continue with the priority axes that we have defined: a quieter city, neighborhoods that are easier to live in and a more mobile metropolis. A quieter city with the arrival of additional municipal police; an easier neighborhood life, with facilities and amenities throughout Toulouse such as a city stadium boulevard de Suisse, a garden in Bonhoure and a shared 2,500 square meter garden in the Pradettes district ”.
“A more mobile metropolis, with major projects which continue to progress: the third metro line with the environmental public inquiry which has already been launched and which will be successful. And then at the end of 2022, the eagerly awaited start of the major project that will constitute the third line itself. In the meantime, in the spring, we will put the cable car into service in the south-east of Toulouse and new cycle paths will be built ”.
