Omicron may “cover” Ukraine in January
From the second half of January and in February in Ukraine is expected to increase the incidence of coronavirus infection due to the strain Omicron.

He confided that in the situation with COVID-19 Ukraine is a little late, an EU country: outbreaks that are registered in Europe in our country take place in 1-2 months after they reached there. So now we have the previous wave caused by the Delta strain.
“But prognostically, somewhere in the second half of January and in February, we will see an increase in the incidence of coronavirus infection, which is likely to be caused by a new strain of Omicron,” – said the publication of the chief nurse.
It is also noted that as of December 3 in Ukraine, the entire number of laboratory confirmations of these facts Omicron was found. Most of them are related to the permanent border, and finally to contacts with an infected person.
Igor Kuzin reportedly stated that the National Technical Group of Immunoprophylaxis Experts supported the use of a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine for people over 60 years of age.
