The CDS-PP followed “in general” the New Year’s message from the President of the Republic and defended that the legislatives of the 30th could constitute an opportunity for Portugal to “turn the page” with the “right right”.
“The CDS generally accompanied the New Year’s message from the President of the Republic”, said Martim Borges de Freitas, president of the CDS Congress, in a video sent to newsrooms.

The party’s head of the party’s list for Aveiro considers that the legislative changes “may actually mean a turning of the page because people are in fact more free to be able to vote”, arguing that “the useful vote in Portugal has ceased to exist” because it has since 2015 “a majority of a single party is not necessary to govern, as it is not even necessary to win one party for the prime minister to be appointed”.
Pointing out that “the left has exhausted all possibilities to the point that they have to be called up in advance”, the leader defended that “on the right there is a party that makes change possible”, arguing that “the CDS is a combined party values are unquestionable, it is a party that presents itself with concrete proposals and is a party that is trustworthy”.

“It is, therefore, the right right. This right right can mean change, it can mean turning the page”, he points out.
With regard to the pandemic, one of the issues most highlighted by the President of the Republic in his traditional message at the start of a new new one, the CDS-PP took advantage of the government to criticize the management of the place, which “it is not with fear management that one can they solve the country’s problems, the first of which is economic recovery and economic growth.”
“When the President of the Republic talks about the funds available to Portugal and the Portuguese, this must mean growth above the European Union average, this must mean Portugal’s growth compared to other countries with which it competes directly. And that is why the application of competent funds has to be very strict “, also pointed out the candidate for deputy.
