Florence: commissioner changes again, Maurizio Auriemma arrives from Bergamo
ROME – The Quaestor changes again in Florence. After a year and a half promotion for Filippo Santarelli new Director of the Inspectorate of the State Police “Palazzo Chigi”. The general manager Maurizio Auriemma, current police chief of Bergamo, has been appointed in his place.
Maurizio Auriemma, 62, has been Quaestor of Bergamo since March 2019. It lived on the front line the most acute period of the first phase of the Covid19 pandemic, which saw the Lombard province three most affected, with thousands of deaths.
Auriemm, a Florentine from a family of Campania origins, was produced in the Police in May 1985, serving in Liguria (at the VI Mobile Department of Genoa, at the Police Headquarters of Genoa and La Spezia, at Criminal Liguria), in Calabria (Director of the Commissariat di PS di Palmi) then again in Liguria, where he took over the management of the VI Mobile Department of Genoa and in Lombardy, as Manager of the III Mobile Department of Milan.
He was announced as Senior Manager in 2017 and appointed Quaestor of Agrigento. Since March 2019 he has been commissioner of Bergamo, and now he returns to Florence, which was his birthplace.
