Moon episode II: “We’re going back”
50 years after man’s first steps on the moon, the Space City propose until December 31, 2021 to find out why “We’re going back” since the project is now to settle there.
This exhibition begins by retracing “the first time”, reliving the feat of Apollo 11 and the first steps of Neil armstrong and Buzz aldrin on the Moon thanks to “a retrospective full of emotions and memories”.
The heart of the exhibition, meanwhile, is devoted to lunar environment and met before the challenges to be met so that a lasting human settlement is possible on the star.
The red planet in the spotlight
The second important exhibition of this end of the year at the Space City, is dedicated to the red planet: March. During this year 2021, the Space City has put the planet Mars in the spotlight and there is still time to enjoy it, until December 31, 2021.
On the program, a complete tour of all the announcements and projects that Man undertakes for the red planet. The teams of the Space City have also imagined models and other animations immerse yourself completely in the atmosphere of this planet.
We also find there two life-size models the American rover Perseverance and the Chinese rover Zhurong, which are currently on Mars. Thus making the Toulouse site, the place with the largest “stable” of rovers in the world. And so that the immersion is complete, the gardens of the city have been totally changed into martian soil.
Follow the Alpha mission of Frenchman Thomas Pesquet as closely as possible
With the participation ofEuropean Space Agency and CNES (National Center for Space Studies), the Space City proposes to continuously follow the 6-month French mission and to understand its interest. The French astronaut having returned to Earth in November, the exhibition focuses on different works and experiences that he performed in the International Space Station.
Studies on sleep, the use of reusable packaging products, biodegradable or edible experiments or the study of drop, surprising living organisms.
It is also possible to settle inside a replica of the Crew Dragon capsule, the ship that the French used to get into space. An exhibition entitled “Alpha Mission Monitoring”, and which ends on January 2, 2022.
