Evan Fournier in the right tempo with the Knicks, Théo Maledon behind with Oklahoma
He is not always precise at three points this year, which blames him for his contemptors. But last night in the NBA, Evan Fournier assured with the New York Knicks against Minnesota (96-88). The tricolor winger has thus signed a sheet of statistics balanced with 13 points, two assists and two rebounds, embellished with a stolen ball and a cons. Low heights, of course, but enhanced by a nice 3 out of 7 at three points.
The French followed in the wake of the Knicks of Julius Randle (13 points, 15 rebounds) and Mitchell Robinson (14 points, 18 rebounds), an interior duo that hurt the Timberwolves. New York has mastered its score, taking off in the 1st and 3rd quarters. Enough to contain the rest of the Wolves, who were deprived of their magical trio (Anthony Edwards, D’Angelo Russell, Karl-Anthony Towns). New York is 10th in the East, with a negative balance (16-18).
Discreet Maledon
The other French waited for the night (because Petr Cornelie did not play with Denver during the victory at Golden State), Theo Maledon, lost with Oklahoma City (111-117). The Thunder faced Sacramento in their room and the leader started off the bench, playing 22 minutes, for 6 points scored.
The Frenchman was not very successful during the shoot (1 of 8), and took a rebound and delivered a pass. Maledon will therefore not have been able to help Shai Gilgeous-Alexander once again bluffing (33 points), and OKC fell on the Kings in full success at three points. Harrisson Barnes (17 points, 5 of 9 behind the arc), Tyrese Haliburton (24 units, 5/8) or Buddy Hield, off the bench (21 points, 3/7) settled the bill.
Oklahoma remains good penultimate in the West (12-21). Note that Olivier Sarr, recently arrived in the Thunder squad, played his first minutes. Nice first minutes, 12 in total, with 4 points scored and 5 rebounds caught, in addition to two blocks!
