Tallink Group’s shuttle ship Megastar will leave for the first regular dry docking in January 2022 at Naantali shipyard

Tallink Grupp’s Tallinn-Helsinki shuttle ship Megastar will go into its first regular dry docking after the ship started operating on the route in January 2017 to Naantali shipyard in January 2022. The ship will be in technical maintenance at the shipyard between 11 and 16 June. January 2022.
During docking, the ship undergoes a standard and required class renewal process, maintenance of the underwater hull and various ship systems, valves, pumps, etc., and installation of high voltage shore power systems to connect the ship to shore power systems during longer port calls. In addition to technical maintenance and upgrades, the ship’s passenger areas will also be updated and upgraded.
During the ship’s dry docking station, capacity on the Tallinn-Helsinki route will be supplemented by the company’s cruise ship Queen of the Baltics, which operates daily on the route according to the following timetable:

Tuesday 11.1.2022: departure from Tallinn at 13.30 and arrival in Helsinki at 16.30,
leaves Helsinki at 9.30 pm and arrives in Tallinn at 12.30 am -
Wednesday 12 January-Friday 14 January 2022: departure from Tallinn at 7.30 and arrival in Helsinki at 10.30,
leaves Helsinki at 4.30 pm and arrives in Tallinn at 7.30 pm -
Sunday 16.1.2022 – departure from Tallinn at 18.30 and arrival in Helsinki at 21.30
leaves Helsinki at 22.30 and arrives in Tallinn at 01.30
Baltic Queen operates between Tallinn’s Old Town Harbor Terminal D and West Terminal 2, such as Megastar. Megastar will return to the Tallinn-Helsinki route according to its normal schedule on Monday, January 17, 2022.
During the shipyard period, the company’s second shuttle vessel, Star, will continue to operate normally.
