Warsaw: Three Warsaw insurgents died
Very sad news. Three Warsaw insurgents have died recently: Maria Schejbal “Marzena”, Ryszard Nowicki “Sokół” and Maria Pajzderska “Marysia” informed the Mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski about Monday in social media.
Rafał Trzaskowski informed about the death of three Warsaw insurgents. “Three Warsaw insurgents have died in recent days: Maria Schejbal + Marzena +, Ryszard Nowicki + Sokół + and Maria Pajzderska + Marysia +” – wrote the Mayor of Warsaw. “The hero of the Capital City of Warsaw. Stick souvenirs about you” – she added.
“It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Maria Pajzderska + Marysia + – an insurgent nurse from the NOW-AK Battalion + Gustaw-Harnaś +, a very, very nice person who has high-quality work of the employees of the Warsaw Uprising Museum. We celebrated her 97th birthday a few days ago … – wrote on facebook of the Warsaw Uprising Museum.
Maria Schejbal “Marzena” b. On October 10, 1924 we have Włocławek. Before World War II, she studied at the Private Junior High School and High School. Leonia Rudzka in Warsaw, the next one competed for secret sets. During the Warsaw Uprising, she was a liaison officer and nurse in the “Łukasiński” Battalion. She got out of the Old Town through the sewers to Śródmieście. After the fall, it was established in a temporary camp in Ożarów, then transported to various POW camps. She was liberated from KL Oberlangen by the army of General Stanisław Maczek.
Ryszard Nowicki “Sokół” February 24, 1927 in Kaplonosy near Włodawa. He was 17 when he volunteered for the Warsaw Uprising. I had pseudonyms “Sokół” and “Sęp”. He fought in the area of the Gdańsk Railway Station and the National Security Printing Works, where he was wounded on August 26. He was evacuated through the sewers from Krasiński Square to Żoliborz, from where he later broke through to the Kampinos Forest. After the war, he was a multiple national champion in car rallies, he competed four times in the history of the Monte Carlo Rally.
Maria Pajzderska “Marysia” on December 24, 1924 in Warsaw. During the Warsaw Uprising, there was a member of the NOW-AK “Gustaw-Harnaś” Battalion, the “Grażyna” company, as a patrol of the sanitary patrol. Underground pseudonym “111”, and during the Uprising – “Marysia”.
