A new virtual reality center (or VR for virtual reality) opened its doors at Labège 1uh October 2021. It bears the name of Inpulsa and can be found at 4098 La Lauragaise.
Behind this new sign, we find two childhood friends: Greg Fournie and Sebastien chabaud, respectively from Saint-Orens-de-Gameville and Escalquens. Both entrepreneurs, they took advantage of a period of calm during the health crisis to embark on a new adventure.
“We came across this concept of virtual reality and we liked it straight away. I had never played it – Greg is more of a geek and gamer – but a year ago I put a helmet on my head and thought it was awesome. In two minutes, we are in a universe and we travel. “
14 access games on cooperation
Completely seduced by the concept, the two partners decide to set up their own structure rather than going through a franchise. “This allowed us to launch a catalog supplied with 14 games,” explains the Escalquinois.
Thereby, Inpulsa offers games of 15, 30 and 60 minutes, installation and brief included, accessible from the age of 9: from drakkar racing, through experiences linking exploration and shooting, escape games, until survival games against the living dead (these are available from 16 years old).
“We’re moving through a city infested with zombies. We come with friends and we play up to eight at the same time. It’s great and it gives a lot of sensations! “
From two to eight players simultaneously
Games that are above all on cooperation, with two to eight players simultaneously. “We see each other as an avatar, we talk to each other,” describes the entrepreneur. Each player has a space of 9 m2, in two rooms. Inpulsa provides four HTC Vive pro 2 wired headsets and four Valve Indexes.
And no need to be used to VR games to enjoy :
“We are addressing the general public, not virtual reality specialists. The games are made for fun right away and are easy to use. “
Prices ranging from 8 to 30 €
The rates are 8 € in off-peak hour and 10 € in full hour (evening and weekend) for a game of 15 minutes. Count 15 € / 20 € for a game of 30 minutes and 25 € / 30 € for a game of one hour.
Inpulsa also offers a bar area and snacks with cheese and cold meats platters “for an atypical evening around virtual reality”, emphasizes Sébastien Chabaud.
The company is also aimed at companies for team building thanks to the collaborative side of its games. Inpulsa can even move material directly to professionals.
