In Prague, over 30 people were poisoned by carbon monoxide. The trauma plan has been activated
Over 30 people, including children, were poisoned with carbon monoxide in Modřany, Prague. This was stated on Twitter by the Medical Rescue Service of the Capital City of Prague, which, due to poisoning, activated the trauma plan used in mass accidents. Twenty-seven paramedics were taken to Prague hospitals. The event happened on Saturday night.

According to the rescue service, four crews intervened on the spot, as well as a special ambulance for the Atego emergency situation, in which up to 12 patients can be transported at once.

“All people (20-30) are conscious and we are gradually treating and delivering to Prague hospitals,” rescuers said immediately after the intervention on Twitter. According to the intervening firefighters, carbon monoxide escaped in the family house.

The rescue trauma plan sets out measures and procedures in the event of mass accidents. According to the Prague ambulance service, it lasted an hour and two minutes in Modřany. “We checked a total of 32 people, including children,” rescuers said on Twitter.
They added that 27 of them were subsequently transported to five Prague hospitals, namely the Thomayer University Hospital, the Royal Vinohrady University Hospital, the Motol University Hospital, the Central Military Hospital and the General University Hospital.
