Several computers taken in the theft. One of the computers that was stolen contains data from Brussels residents who have been vaccinated. “It is true that the computers were turned off. So it must already be someone who is going to hack the computers. The risk of data leaking out is limited,” says Inge Neven, head of the Brussels health inspectorate.
The police are looking for the perpetrators. It is not clear what the motive of the thieves is. The Joint Community Commission, in conjunction with the police, its IT team and the data protection team, has measures in place to ensure that everyone’s privacy remains protected. Every effort is made to ensure that no one has unauthorized access to the data. If you have any questions about the theft and its data, you can send an email to [email protected].
