Councilor The City of Prague decided to select a contractor for the completion of the Malovanka Multifunctional Operations Center, which will be an integrated center for traffic management and equipment of roads and tunnels in Prague. The winner was the company VCES-Metrostav DIZ for Malovanka and the center will deliver less than 630 million crowns without VAT. The work should be completed in about two years.
“The project of the Malovanka multifunctional operations center had a similar fate as the town hall under construction in Palmovka, and we inherited it with a lot of problems. The construction under construction, where one hundred million crowns were invested, has been on ice since 2016 and nothing has happened there. nevertheless, it is an important center for managing Prague’s car traffic and setting preferences for trams and buses. After our arrival at the town hall, we preserved the building to keep it, and updated the entire project to meet the technological standards and needs of the city of the 21st century. We have now completed the construction and will start construction early next year, “says Adam Scheinherr, Deputy Mayor of Prague. m of Prague for transport.
The unfinished transport center, located in the area north of Bělohorská Street between the Pyramida Hotel and Na Malovance Street, should start operating within approximately two years.
It is a reinforced concrete skeleton with a glass facade, divided into two parts. After the completion of the construction, the main traffic control centers of the Technical Administration of the Capital m of Prague, the center of the crisis management department of the City of Prague m of Prague and administrative premises, including social facilities. In part B, there will be an underground car park and diesel generator technology. After its completion, the traffic control center, which is still located in Na Bojišti Street, will be moved to the center.

Thanks to this construction, the planned integration of traffic management and equipment of roads and tunnels will be implemented, which will help to increase the fluidity and safety of all modes of transport. It will also integrate components involved in activities related to traffic management during normal traffic and emergencies. It will include the creation of the necessary space requirements and supporting technologies for further finishing constructions within the network of main roads and telematic transport systems in Prague. At the same time, space will be built here for the location of the data center infrastructure of the Prague City Hall. The center will also include a backup crisis staff center for IRS units, the City Police. m Prague, Dopravní podnik hl. m of Prague and the Security Department of the City of Prague.
At their meeting in Prague, Prague councilors decided on the winner of a public tender for the completion of the center. The winning bid was submitted by VCES-Metrostav DIZ for Malovanka with a bid price of CZK 629,538,019 without VAT. The project should be completed within approximately two years.
