The government will discuss another fight with the covid, energy or changes in positions in the authorities

Prague – A set of future measures against Covid-19, changes in the functioning of the Central Crisis Staff (CCP), as well as the staffing of the State Security Council (BRS) will discuss today’s first regular meeting of the government of Prime Minister Petr Fiala (ODS). The ministers are also preparing to submit proposals to address the effects of the energy crisis, but will decide on them in a week. The program will also include a change in the so-called systematisation, which changes jobs and organizations in some ministries, as well as a proposal to appoint judges.
The Ministry of Finance has announced that the government will also discuss a possible increase in the salaries of civil servants. The ministers should also discuss the preparation for the provisional budget, in which the state will find itself after 1 January due to the lack of a new Chamber of Deputies on the state budget for the coming year.
Kabinet Spolu (ODS, KDU-ČSL, TOP 09) and Pirates with Mayors and Independents (STAN) announced after their appointment on Friday that it will not be used to extend the state of emergency, which will end on December 25. Today, the Minister of Health Vlastimil Válek (TOP 09) is to present a specific set of anti-epidemic measures, which will also apply for the end of this year.
On Tuesday evening on Czech Television (ČT), Válek said that the government is coming up with five variants of measures for the period up to the end of the year and two to three variants of measures for the period from the beginning of next year. Among other things, he suggests that in the first two weeks of January, coronavirus testing in schools be carried out on Mondays and Thursdays. He also wants to use 100 million crowns to buy instruments for PCR tests, he said on Czech Television. Over the weekend, the minister announced that he would propose limiting the opening hours to Christmas Day until 12:00 and closing the stores on December 25.
Deputy Prime Minister Vít Rakušan (STAN) will present a proposal for rapid operational changes in the functioning of ÚKŠ. It includes, among other things, the dissolution of the Government Council for Health Risks. On the contrary, ministers will meet, and the ministries will be affected by the covid measures. The group will become a working team of the BRS. The Security Council should also have a new staff after today, the cabinet plans to increase its membership from nine to ten.
The cabinet has also set up a group of ministers to deal with energy prices and related issues. They are going to submit the first proposals to the government, but they should be approved in a week. The government will also discuss the systematization, according to which the European is to create 74 new posts and jobs in the government office, mainly due to the establishment of departments for the ministry without a portfolio for science, legislation and affairs. In a number of ministries, the material envisages changes in the number of deputies as a further reorganization of the internal organization.
