The capital, together with the fund’s board of directors, announced a selection procedure for the position of executive director or director of the Social Endowment Fund of the City of Prague. m of Prague. Applicants can send their CVs and cover letters until January 20, 2022.
The selection procedure is four-round. The main task of the activity will be primarily to ensure the operation of the endowment fund, to secure financial resources, but also, for example, to propose the setting of internal processes or to lead the communication of the organization.
Following the example of other regions and municipalities, the Social Endowment Fund of the Capital City of Prague was established. m of Prague on the basis of a resolution of the City Council m of Prague this May and its main goal is to become a new tool of social and housing policy. The task of the endowment fund is to provide financial and material assistance to the inhabitants of the capital, who for various reasons have found themselves in a difficult social situation and cannot use other resources, whether state or municipal assistance. In four programs, the fund will offer support for foster care, independent living for people with disabilities, support for households in housing need and other difficult situations.
From this fund, it will be possible to provide a contribution to foster parents for therapeutic services, a contribution to the adjustment of the home environment to prevent institutionalization, money to a person in need for payment of the first rent or a contribution of parents to provide their children’s school and leisure needs.

Now the capital is looking for a suitable candidate who will succeed. “The director will be an essential person for the proper functioning and operation of the social endowment fund. His or her key tasks will include setting up functioning internal processes as well as providing support to beneficiaries. He will also be responsible for the organization’s communications, securing funding and developing the fund’s team. I am very much looking forward to getting it fully operational and helping Praguers in need, “said Adam Zábranský, Councilor for Housing and Transparency.

The requirements for applicants include university or higher professional education, where a humanities, economic or legal focus is an advantage. The condition is, among other things, to have experience with fundraising or the management of other endowment funds, or in some of the areas on which the endowment fund focuses, and it is also necessary to have managerial skills.
On the other hand, the capital city of Prague offers full-time employment until 31 December 2022 with the prospect of extension, corresponding financial evaluation, an office in the center of Prague or, for example, a 5-week vacation and the opportunity to draw a home office.
“The appointment of a director or director is crucial for the start-up and operation of the fund. The fund received funds from its founder and now it is necessary to continue to develop the fund so that the money gets into the hands of these Prague residents who need it as soon as possible, “says Monika Janíková, Chairwoman of the Board of the Social Endowment Fund of the City of Prague.
The selection procedure is four-round, in the first one it is necessary to send your CV and cover letter no later than January 20, 2022. If the candidate advances to the 2nd round, he / she will be invited to an oral interview on the agreed date. In the next round, the task will be processed according to the written assignment and the winner will be decided by the selection committee on the basis of the final oral interview and after the presentation of the processed case study.
