They wanted to rob a million euros from a bakery in Budapest
The court sentenced two Kosovo and a German man who wanted to kidnap one million euros from an Albanian bakery to prison, the Budapest District Court told MTI on Monday.
The Budapest District Court handed down a verdict on Monday in a criminal case in which three defendants were charged with attempted robbery and other laws.
According to the indictment, the first-time defendant of German nationality abused the owner of an Albanian bakery in Pomáz with a telescopic iron pipe in February 2018 and then fled. The victim suffered injuries that healed beyond eight days.
In January 2019, a third-degree defendant of Kosovo nationality incited the first-degree defendant to travel to Hungary again, and a bakery armed with a second-degree defendant, also a Kosovo citizen, was robbed.
The first-degree defendant obtained the means necessary for the law, and the third-degree defendant bought a car, and on February 22, 2019, they drove to the bakery, where the first- and second-degree defendants armed with knives and pistols, entered the shop, where he tied the victim, and they wrote.
The first-class defendant demanded one million euros from the bakery owner and threatened to kill all three if he did not receive it. Meanwhile, the brother of the victim arriving at the store was also tied up, and then a brawl broke out, the discarded weapon went out, and the sound of those sleeping nearby awoke to his voice and freed their bound mates. The first-degree defendant was arrested, but the second-degree fugitive fled

The court found the first- and second-degree defendants guilty of attempted robbery, violation of personal liberty, and violation of privacy, and sentenced them to eight years in prison. Accused of robbery and violation of personal liberty as an instigator, the third-degree defendant was found guilty by the court and sentenced to 9.5 years in prison.
The court upheld the arrest of the first- and second-degree defendants. The criminal charge of the third-degree defendant was lifted by the court, and at the same time he was ordered to be arrested.
The decision was appealed by the prosecutor for aggravation and mitigation of the accused and their counsel, so the verdict is not final.
