Prague is launching the third round of Covid Aid for local companies
The Prague City Council is proposing discounts for tenants in non-residential houses owned by the city as a result of the ongoing pandemic.
Entrepreneurs can apply for discounts from today until the end. Depending on the type of business and the conditions of the contract, discounts range from 30% to 70% of us.
In the last months of 2021, most European countries, including the Czech Republic, saw an increase in new cases of Covid-19.
In response to the new wave of Covid-19 contagion, the Prague City Council has launched a third round of rent rebates for entrepreneurs who could once again face potentially serious economic consequences.
The city, as the owner, wants to support local entrepreneurs to maintain their institutions and continue commercial activities in the Czech capital.
Rental discounts can be applied in the period from 1 January to 30 November 2021, in some cases up to 70% of the rent.
Tenants are obliged to apply a discount on rent no later than 31.12.2021. To be eligible, they must meet certain criteria set out in the addendum to the application. The deduction will be granted as general aid within the minimum rules set out in Commission Regulation (EC) No 1407/2013.
After completing the applications in the electronic system, it will generate a unique number and a copy of the applications in PDF format.
To verify the application, the applicant must send the generated PDF file to the City of Prague within 5 working days.
Due to the current situation, electronic submission via a data box or email with a verified signature is preferred.
