New places that are worth your attention
The capital is full of exciting new places, installations and interiors. We recommend adding to the “must see & experience” list.
STORE AND STUDIO SĒLAH
Old and new. Czech and foreign. Whole and detail. All this is mixed in the studio shop, which is backed by Šárka Morozová with the idea of introducing small brand products into the lives of ordinary people. It offers interior design services and amenities such as BUDU accessories, palo santo Purnama Rituals or Wax Atelier hand candles. “All of this forms a space that we eventually call home,” explains Šárka’s motivation to start a stone shop. Clients touch the materials and just as easily, passers-by can make themselves happy with complete trifles. Řipská 25, Prague 3
GOODLOCK
The café focused on freshly squeezed juices was designed by a unique chandelier by glass artist Lukáš Novák. The organic shape is reminiscent of what it’s all about – a healthy gut! The interpretation is interpreted from hand-made glass parts and twisted neons, which float majestically in the air in an otherwise minimalist interior. Jungmann Square 18, Prague 1
BELOVED
The well-established Beloved brand has indulged in a new flagship from the Smash Monday studio. “We wanted to show the beauty in the materials and their ‘beauty flaws’,” say both architects. On closer inspection, you’ll notice deliberately peeling plaster, irregular pedestals by artist James Wood, hand-cast concrete fields, and creased Tense chandeliers by the Danish brand New Works. The marble table is complemented by bars from the Czech Teak Peak. Anglická 7, Prague 2
JEWELERY AND PERFUMES
The magical house of Jan Švankmajer in Prague’s New World is home to a studio connecting the worlds of perfumerist Kateřina Šantrochová, her brand Scent Roche and jeweler Dick Wolf. Come to the picturesque place if you want a custom perfume, create personal jewelry or just want to verify that it is beautiful in the world. Here you will be convinced and pleased by several of your senses. Černínská 5, Prague 1
