Between moving and standing still in Antwerp
We are always eager for a beautiful residence located in Antwerp, the home city of Imagicasa. Recently we dreamed away at images of Antwerp Penthouse by CC Studio, where you can find a place of peace and neutrality in the middle of the city. We are therefore happy to introduce this design to you.
CC Studio is the life’s work of Carmen Christiaansen. From the heart of Antwerp, she designs spaces that draw inspiration from nature and encourage their residents to enjoy moments of relaxation and experience. In her, Christiaansen experiments with texture and soft tones, guided by the light. Furthermore, the central values in her studio include simplicity, purity, honesty, beauty and happiness. For this project she called on Olga Kozicka and Radoslaw Nicgorski to realize the visualization of her design. The joined forces of these three individuals brought about something miraculous. The result was created in November 2021 and is a beautiful dialogue between natural materials and a muted color palette. The penthouse is located in the lower heart of Antwerp, more specifically just between the historic and new part of the city. Christiaansen’s motivation was to design a space that invites you to let go of your worries and activities of a busy day as soon as you close the door behind you. The interior therefore forms a different contrast with the hectic city life that takes place outside. That is why you should not just enter Antwerp Penthouse in a quiet environment, but rather in a cocoon that, as it were, surrounds you with softness and calmness from start to finish. Nevertheless, the urban aspect continues to offer you ten sizable windows with a view of the city. And before you know it, you’ll be ready to dive back into the hustle and bustle of the city.

Christiaansen opted for a sober design that offers the residents steadfast support in their living experience. Think especially of a color palette that revolves around shades like cream. The floor covering consists of light wood and harmonizes with it. In the kitchen we see a tin that has developed stone, in this case in a darker variant of the latter. If cooking is not an option, you can relax in a sitting area that invites you to lie down with its round shapes. Furthermore, the designer avoided all superfluous things, the interior is always to the essence. In order to provide the penthouse with the right decoration, she chose earthy vases and a dark abstract work of art, among other things. We are proud that our own city is the backdrop for great residences. Antwerp Penthouse is an attractive counterweight to traveling and sailing from the outside. Here you can relax and the world keeps turning. And when you’re ready, step out of this penthouse and turn around again.
