A new kind of Christmas market opens its doors on December 18, 2021 at the Lyon Convention Center. These “Inclusive Halls” intend to showcase the products of disabled workers, in order to create new responsible reflexes.
At a time when Christmas markets light up the cities of France, a new kind of model opens in Lyon on December 18, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is indeed the first edition of the ” All-inclusive halls ”Which is held in the city’s convention center, on the initiative of the Prête-moi tes wings association. All the exhibitors (around forty over 2,000 m2) are workers with disabilities who have come to offer their craft products or services. They are employed in ESAT (establishments and work support services) or adapted companies or are self-employed with disabilities. Multiple temptations to finalize the last purchases a few days before the Holidays: food, clothing, jewelry, decoration, cosmetics, electronics …
A sector made in France
The opportunity, above all, to ” highlight »The know-how of these often unrecognized professionals who come from all over France (mainly Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes). The objective is both to raise awareness among the general public and to mobilize companies in the interest of subcontracting. Nearly 150,000 people in France work in adapted and protected sectors within 1,450 Esat and 800 EA, in more than 200 sectors. These inclusive Halls are therefore an opportunity to create new responsible reflexes thanks to artisanal, local or made in France circuits. ” An invitation to reconnect people with each other », According to Sylvain Douce, director of the Lyon Convention Center.
