The Toulouse bar supports the movement of judges
The Toulouse bar of lawyers announces its support for magistrates and legal personnel engaged in a movement, it began two weeks ago, which announced the “graded” conditions for the exercise of justice.
Toulouse Bar Association announced its support, this Tuesday, December 14, to the magistrates and the personnel of justice which point the finger, for nearly two weeks, the “degraded” conditions in which they declared their trades.
The bar of the pink city says to share “the observation of a glaring lack of human and material resources (among magistrates, clerks and lawyers, editor’s note), denounced for many years by the legal profession”. He is calling today for the government, the National Assembly and the European Senate to help France “at last” to acquire “a modern justice of a quality comparable to that of our neighbors”.
A movement engaged throughout France
In fact, 3,000 magistrates from all over France have signed a petition in which theyinsurgent against the current state of justice in the country. “The decisions rendered in the name of the French people after a judicial process unsatisfactory for the litigant: a justice both timed, too slow to meet the needs and sometimes without real effects, for lack of registry officials to notify the decisions, for lack of” educators and sufficient staff in public services to ensure follow-up, ”explain several lawyers’ unions in a press release.
The demands of the magistrates
In the pursuit of this movement, professionals in the pursuit of justice ask that magistrates and registry officials be recruited, and that their statutes be upgraded. Like what happened in the health sector. “In France, per 100,000 inhabitants, we have three prosecutors, 11 judges and 34.1“ non-judge staff ”(including registry officials), while the European median is 11 prosecutors, 18 judges and 60.9 “Personal non-judge” “, detail the unions.
In addition, they demand that the budget allocated to legal aid be increased, so that the defense is “worthy” and no longer achieved “by the dehumanizing race for profitability”. The objective is that “the missions must comply with what citizens are entitled to expect from justice, and without harming the health of personnel”, conclude the professionals.
