Toulouse. The Mon Canard chalets are back
The Mon Canard brand, well known in Toulouse for its three restaurants, Saint-Pierre, Saint-Georges and Compans-Caffarelli, is back this year with its chalets dedicated to take-out. Located at the Jean-Jaurès metro exit near Fnac, the Mon Canard chalets offer hot cuisine, easy to take out or eat in the street, and which, of course, gives pride of place to duck. Aligot breast, burgers, sandwiches, duck croquettes, and the brand new duck fingers (aiguillettes breaded in spicy Japanese breadcrumbs, Panko). A little nod to Alsace with pretzels with duck breast or truffle cheese and for the sweet touch, pancakes and homemade pastries. “The idea of settling in the street was born with the 1st confinement. It was for us the only way to continue”, explains Maryne Cazes who represents the sign. “We had to adapt and adapt our menu to street food. It also allowed us to improve,” she adds. And this year again, customers are at the rendezvous, in this very busy crossroads where this type of offer was lacking.
