Police officers have proposed to charge dozens of people for the sale of municipal flats in Prague 1 below cost – ČT24 – Česká televize
“In the second half of November, a motion was filed against the police authority,” Lelek told ČT, adding that more than thirty accused figures in the case. Lelek added that due to the scale of the case, the public prosecutor would probably decide in a matter of months.
server List of messages informed last year, the police accused 36 people of selling city apartments in Prague 1 below cost. According to prosecutor Lelka, however, two of the originally prosecuted have died in the meantime, and four of the accused have also concluded an agreement on wine and punishment, which the plaintiff offered to most of those prosecuted, but has yet to be heard by a court.
The police dealt with the case for the second time. For the first time, the criminal prosecutor stopped the plaintiff, who, according to the Seznam Zprávy server, wanted to have another expert report prepared to quantify the damage. In the original charge, the police claimed that 23 flats with a total damage of over 41 million crowns were sold below the price. According to the new report, the damage was therefore more than ten million lower.
Two-thirds price
“The police authority believes that it is clear to the general public that the usual prices of housing units in the affected localities are higher than the prices at which the previously designated housing units were sold,” the server quoted from the resolution on initiating the current criminal prosecution.
The whole case concerns the period between 2010 and 2018, when the Lomecký police officer acted as the mayor of Prague 1. According to his resolution, one of the apartments that Prague 1 sold below the price was a 4 + kk apartment (143 square meters) in Klimentská Street. The city district sold it for 7.5 million, but according to the expert, the price should have been at least 3.9 million crowns higher.
“It simply came to our notice then. We will defend ourselves legally and look forward to an independent trial. When the court decides, we are ready to sue for reimbursement of all costs, “Lomecký told ČT earlier.
In April this year, the Seznam Zprávy server wrote that among the accused are, for example, Lomecký’s former CSSD deputy Daniel Hodek, two current Prague 1 councilors Jan Votoček (TOP 09) and Richard Bureš (ODS) or former TOP 09 deputies Zdeněk Skála and Jozef Helmeczy .
The accusations are of a misdemeanor in the administration of another’s property due to negligence and a misdemeanor of obstructing the official’s task through negligence. For this, they face one to five years in prison if convicted.
