Large-scale research has begun in Serbia to administer the fourth article of the crown for vaccinations against the virus – the Vojvodina Free Hungarian Word. So far, 57 percent of Serbian adult citizens have taken the first dose, 54 percent have taken the second dose, and 30 percent of the population has taken the third reminder dose. Depending on the results of the new analyzes, it will be decided whether Serbian citizens will be able to receive a fourth vaccination six months after the third vaccination or after 12 months. Priority for the fourth dose would be given to those over 65 years of age as well as to chronic patients.
According to State Secretary for Health Mirsad Đerlek, it is independent that vaccines are a shortage in the world, there is no need to worry because there will be enough of them in Serbia. – We will see if we also need a fourth dose of coronavirus vaccination to keep our citizens healthy. If so, there is enough vaccination. Pfizer vaccines arrive regularly, and we have produced 1.5 million doses of Sputnik V vaccine in Torlak, Đerlek said. Serbia will not allow the vaccinations to expire.
Epidemiologist Dr. Radmilo Petrović also believes that a fourth dose will be needed. “The fourth vaccine will certainly be given first to 65-year-olds, chronically ill, and those with malignancies, and then everyone else can take it,” says Petrović. No serious reaction was observed with repeated vaccinations in Serbia.
