Reopening of Panagia, Infectious and former 424 is requested by the hospital staff
ENITH calls for mobilization outside the Ministry of Health on Saturday 18/12 at 11:00 for the reopening of closed hospitals.
The restart of former hospital units of Infectious Diseases, former 424 and Panagia asks the Association of Hospital Doctors of Thessaloniki, to address the pressure on the city hospitals due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Hospital structures that were closed in 2013 by the then government of ND and remained closed by the government of SYRIZA and the current one. “They remain closed in a pandemic that every day we count hundreds of victims of the tragic shortages in the NSS”, ENITH states in its announcement.
“However, as we respond to this phase where the occupancy of all hospitals has surpassed all previous ones, where literally patients overflow from hospitals after each shift, they do not consider it appropriate to reopen these structures, with staff and equipment, for coverage of the enormous needs of hospitalization and care of Covid and non-Covid patients;
