The match: The pros and the young, same galley
Olympique de Marseille were not necessarily scored in this match. He wasn’t transcendent either, but probably deserved better. At the start of the match, it was also the Phocéens who obtained the best situations. But like their professional counterparts, a glaring lack of realism is to be noted. It is also only a minute after a missed opportunity to Daouda Gueye, which touched the post, that the Monegasques opened the score at the end of the first period. A blow for the Olympians who conceded the opener just before half-time.
In the second half, the Olympians tried everything without ever being able to be really dangerous. The end of the match also looked like a knockout. Open spaces on the Olympic side and a certain excitement on the Monegasque side. Unfortunately, that was not enough to score the second goal of the match.
The consequences: maintenance becomes complicated
In the standings, the Marseillais remain confined to fifteenth place (out of sixteen) after the heavy defeat of the red lantern Saint Priest (5-1) against Goal FC. The two front teams also bowed, and leave a reprieve for the Phocaeans. However, without a definite improvement, the maintenance will be very complicated to seek. There are, however, only three points behind the first non-relegation.
