Index – Economy – The license of the natural gas service provider JAS Budapest has been suspended
The Hungarian Energy and Utilities Regulatory Authority (MEKH) suspended JAS Budapest Zrt. For ninety days. natural gas trading operating license, MEKH told MTI on Thursday. As we wrote, the service provider informed its customers in November that it would not be able to participate in electricity. The Hungarian Energy and Utilities Regulatory Authority had already issued a call.
The office has decided the suspension will begin on December 17 at 6 p.m. Until then, the affected users will be supplied by the Hungarian Hydrocarbon Stockpiling Association (MSZKSZ) from the security stock, and another natural gas trader will be appointed instead of JAS Budapest on the basis of the offers of traders with the necessary natural gas resources or ex officio. The decision was made on December 16 at the latest, they wrote.
They added that within ninety days of the designation period, the transferee may contract or terminate the relationship with the designated natural gas trader in accordance with the relevant legislation. In the event of an ongoing change of trader, if the user’s new natural gas trader would be the natural gas trader with a suspended license, it shall be replaced by the designated natural gas trader.
User care is available until the ninetieth day after designation. They can contract with the designated natural gas trader for the next period, agree with another natural gas trader or decide to supply them themselves after the ninetieth day, the announcement reads.
