Kungälvs Trävaruaktiebolag’s turnover in 2020 amounted to approximately EUR 32.6 million. The company has four stores in Gothenburg area, and it employs about 80 people who specialize in serving B2B customers.

Kesko continues to implement its growth strategy in Northern Europe, where it is the leading player in construction and technical trade. IN Sweden, Kesko operates the construction and home furnishings retail chains K-Rauta and K-Bygg as well Onninens technical wholesaler for infrastructure customers. K-Rauta has 17 stores and online sales in Sweden, which mainly serves consumers, while K-Bygg’s 42 stores serve professional builders.

Completion of the acquisition is subject to the approval of the local competition authorities and the fulfillment of other conditions for the transaction. The transaction is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2022. The parties will not disclose the transaction price.
