The capital who tries with difficulty to get out of the restrictions of the pandemic – but with all the necessary caution – to find an appointment of the Christmas period, the one with the banquets and typical resales of the end of year celebrations. This year there will not be the appointment in Piazza Navona – in recent years at the center of so much controversy – but here the Capitol would like to hold a show with singers and dancers, where however it will be forbidden to sell food or toys. But the offer of appointments in the districts of Rome will be very rich, after a Christmas 2020 lived in the red zone.

Outside the Aurelian Walls there is a lot: starting from the Eur-Torrino area, where today the maxi tent of the Christmas Village in Piazza Cina opens its doors, active every day until January 6, with the House of Santa Claus and an area dedicated to non-profit organizations: from the protection of animals, to projects in the third world, to human rights, to the dissemination of culture. Changing dial, in Talenti there is the market in via Ugo Ojetti, one of the largest in the city, with 160 stalls, most of which are dedicated to craft activities. But there are also original places to host these initiatives. Like the former Atac garage in Piazza Ragusa, where the Christmas Land (with two hundred exhibitors) arrives on the weekends of Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 and Saturday 18 and Sunday 19. On the same weekends, an appointment received in the Far East at ippodromo delle Capannelle, with “Japan Days”: an area with 100 exhibitors, workshops and workshops for adults and children, martial arts demonstrations and large Japanese items, from bonsai to kimonos.

An important event, among others, is also the one with “Christmas World – The Christmas of the world” at the Auditorium Parco della Musica, open every day until 9 January: it hosts many initiatives and stands with crafts from all over the world: Berlin, Paris, New York. In Piazza Mazzini, on the other hand, the Christmas Village opened a week ago with its 55 white gazebos with Christmas, vintage crafts and curiosities of all kinds. The market is open every day until the 28th. Solidarity at the center of the Italian Red Cross market, yesterday and today in the halls of the Westin Excelsior hotel in via Veneto, with volunteers in the gift-idea stands, from crafts to decorations for the Christmas tree. Theme markets also at Cinecittà World, in via Irina Alberti: the Roma Sud amusement park has already been set up for the occasion since the beginning of November. Other stalls include those in Piazza di Spagna, via Tagliamento, at the Porta di Roma shopping center and at Casa Betania, in via delle Calasenziane.
