An 80-year-old driver from Salzburg suffered injuries on Monday afternoon in a traffic accident on the B21 in the neighboring Bavarian town of Bad Reichenhall (district BGL). The man was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
According to the police, the driver from Salzburg wanted to “drive over the double line in the direction of Salzburg on the B21”. The 80-year-old is likely to have overlooked the oncoming car of a 27-year-old – the two vehicles collided.

“Fortunately, the man from Salzburg was only slightly injured,” said the Bavarian police. He was taken to the hospital for further examination. The 80-year-old’s passenger and the car driver involved in the car were uninjured. There was significant property damage to both vehicles.
Because of the rush-hour traffic on Monday afternoon, there were significant traffic delays.
