Portugal qualifies quartet for the eighth of the young table tennis World Cups

Inês Matos and Tiago Li, in under-19, Matilde Pinto and Tiago Abiodun, under-15, qualified for the round of 16 in the singles competition of the World Youth Championship, in table tennis, which takes place in Vila Nova de Gaia .
Tiago Li, 32nd seed in the competition, beat Slovakian Adam Klajber (16th) by 4-3, now facing Croatian Ivor ban, fourth favourite.
Inês Matos, 16th, defeated the German Naomi Pranjkovic, 10th, by 4-2, going now to meet the Indian Suhana Saini, fourth in the tournament and who needed the world championship was already bronze in the team competition.
