It is one of the most famous addresses in the Naughty toulouse. The Box, the oldest champagne bar in the Pink City, has given itself a second lease of life. Since October 2021, the establishment has reopened in a “strip cabaret-club” spirit. On you makes it discover.

A bar that has seen many beautiful people

To say that L’Ecrin is an institution is not an exaggeration. Founded in the early 1970s by Jacqueline Bratti (nicknamed “Jacote”), the bar has seen many celebrities parade. We can notably mention the singers Bernard Lavilliers, Patrick bruel, Patrick Sebastien, Serge Reggiani or even the Toulousain Claude Nougaro. Actors like Jean Reno, Richard Anconina, Christophe lambert and the 1998 football world champion, Christophe Dugarry, have also already celebrated in these places.

But that’s not all … According to Jacote, François Mitterrand, then President of the Republic, came in person to L’Ecrin. It was in the spring of 1989.

Proud of this past, the new owners of the bar have decided to keep the same name. A sort of homage to the historic patron saint of the place.

” A world apart “

With up-to-date decoration, L’Ecrin retains a chic and intimate atmosphere thanks to subdued lighting. Luxurious and “feline” decorations, the establishment has turned into a veritable cabaret and strip club where several hostesses offer a multitude of naughty shows!

“We have created a world apart, to get out of somewhat wild or degrading strip clubs,” explains the management of L’Ecrin, which relies on “refinement” and wishes to offer a “moment of freedom” between colleagues (after work, retirement, etc.), friends (stag or hen parties, etc.), as a couple or on your own.

The menu to read … on a butt!

And who says bar, necessarily says drinks. To honor its past, L’Ecrin obviously offers champagne but also a whole selection of spirits.

In the following weeks, this night establishment will open at noon. The opportunity to come and enjoy a meal in “cabaret strip-food” mode: menu to read on the right buttock of one of the dancers, nyotaimori (Where sushi body in English, or eat sushi on the body of a dancer)… The establishment puts everything on a “chic and quirky” universe.
