Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova said that Ukraine had offered its allies and partners in the West a broad package to deter Russia, which includes political, economic and security components.

“Kyiv has offered our partners a very broad package with three levels. It is designed to restrain and demotivate Russia, “the ambassador said.
She explained that the first level in this package of political deterrence, the results: “We are very pleased to hear powerful messages from Biden, as well as the president of all our friends and allies.”
Another, according to Markarov’s component, is economic restraint. In this context, there was an urgent need to discuss Russia’s specific economic constraints, which raise Putin’s price especially if he decides to attack Ukraine again.
Finally, the third component of the task of deterring Russia in the dimensions of security and defense. This means additional support for expanding Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
“We want Ukraine to emphasize very clearly, we have never attacked anyone, we have not planned any offensives, we have not gathered any military follow-up operations. We are a peaceful country of great producers, startups and entrepreneurs. And we want only diplomatic solutions, “the diplomat said. She added that “we are very determined to protect our home from this aggression.”
Markarova called on the American side for active support for Ukraine. “Our relationship with the United States has not been better than it is now. In the last six months alone, we have held the last Strategic Partnership Commissions, our President has been here (in the United States – ed.), We have signed a framework agreement with the United States, “she said.
She added that Russia had not only concentrated its military forces near Ukraine’s borders, but also increased disinformation, and continued to report efforts to undermine Ukraine from within.
“It is very important that we work together with all our friends and allies, especially with the United States,” Markarova concluded.
